Postby ocean spray » Wed Oct 07, 2015 12:43 pm

hi ;

ı have been diagnozed somatic schizophrenia and ı m using 150mg xeplion and 200mg seroquel since one month.since that time my short time memory have lost and ı have got sexual impotence.ı cant remember my reading or number that ı read 10 seconds ago.ı can not hold anythnig at my short time memory.but long time memory is relatively ok.my question is is this side effects are temporary or permanent?

thanks

ps;for my opinion sexual impotance is temporary side effect because its depend on blood pressure but im worried about short time memory.

I have taken seroquel from 50 mg up to 800 mg. It always makes me very drousy, and the only thing I can do to combat it is drink an endless supply of caffine, or 5 hour energy (which has at these volumes it's own negative side effects), to avoid sleeping 10 hours a night. Seroquel XR is better, you can take it a few hours before you sleep and you won't sleep as long I've noticed. Or it's easier to stay awake when you wake up if it has been 10 hours since you took it. Seroquel XR doesn't immediately knock you out like Seroquel does.

Sometimes I forget very basic words (like guardrail e.g.), stuff that I can't recall but normally is easy to remember. I'm in grad school right now, and the academic stuff for tests doesn't seem to be worse now than before for me.

These medications also cause weight gain, I haven't had much trouble with them in this area, but I know many people have more adverse reactions to it. My doctor doesn't like the idea of drug shopping to find the right one. I think you should try to find one you are good with, keep pushing to try different types and see which you react to best.

I'm on 200mg Seroquel, it makes me drowsy but only helps me sleep for a couple of hours.

I haven't felt any side effects as of yet.

That's great news, hopefully the medication doesn't cause you trouble in sleeping full night's sleep. Ideally it doesn't mess with your ability to control your sleep schedule.

Hi every one;

I just want to update my Situation.
First of all my sexual impotance is past.ı m not don juan but daily one time erection is ok for me.

Second was memory loss.thi had been past aqay also.actually ı have better memory than before.ı can remember clearly everything.

My doctor told me ı will be better ı year later.

My advice to beginners are just continue to take medicine until body get used to it.after couple of months later body get better with medicines and all side effects are past away.Don t stop drugs just because their temporary side effects.most of side effects are are temporary
