if you feel as though you are going to hurt someone, call the police and tell them you need to be taken to a hospital. I know it sounds bad, but they can take you to get the help you need.

This member is right. You really do need to get yourself to hospital, where you can get the help that you need.

Please don't stop taking your meds without the advice of your psychiatrist as this could be harmful to you. In any case, as far as I am aware, permanent sexual dysfunction is not a side effect of Prozac. Any effects, as far as I know, are temporary, and surely this is a low price to pay as opposed to feeling very ill. I'm wondering if you told your psychiatrist the whole story, as he can't give you the help you need unless you're a hundred per cent honest about your symptoms.

Hi again. I've been prescribed with a low dosage of Risperidone, and if I don't take it will be sent to hospital. :( I honestly don't think I'm that bad but I they think I'm developing psychosis.

I've taken Risperidone. Taken in low dosages the chances of you having side effects are very low. It honestly made me clearer when I was taking it. More focused. First few days you might be a bit tired. After your body gets used to it you should be fine.

Yeah Footballer instead of sitting there like a paralyzed baby, break out of the mold and don't confront these people plotting against you, get them to sit down with you and talk things through until you are convinced everything is alright.

What exactly are you suggesting Mr Omega? Do you know how paranoia and psychosis work? You cannot be convinced that everything is alright when you are in that state. I have been there myself. The OP needs to be in therapy and on meds that does not make him a paralyzed baby.

Thank you for the replies. I am on Aplify just now and it's side effects are killing me... lol I was very restless but that's gone now and has been replaced by sedation. The pDoc told me I was over-medicated and he is reducing the dosage by half. Will this reduce the side effects significantly? Because right now, sedation is making it difficult to function normally.

Yes a reduction will decrease the side effects. If the decrease is not significant enough then you can discuss a possible switch. Be patient it takes a while to get it right sometimes or I should say most of the time. Keep track of what you have taken and how it made you feel. That way if you switch doctors you can use this info for future Rx. These types of drugs are in different classifications and categories and if one made you feel this one then one of the same category might do the same so they will try one in a different category. You get the drift. I won't write a whole novel on it. The book "Surviving Schizophrenia" goes into meds very in depth.
