something for you all from my heart

Schizoaffective Disorder (and other related disorders) is a lifetime thing. You can recover, but recovery ain't the same thing as cure. You can never be “cured”. You can get better, and live a productive, beautiful life - but it’s always going to be there, like a shark in the ocean, whether you can see it or not... Most days I am great, going so well. I am back studying, back working, back happy. But some days, you feel things - things come back, yeah? Things from another time, another place, another person. They don’t always make sense to us. Things like guilt, sadness, joy, fear, and paranoia. You CAN move on from your past, and not let it define you. This is the key to recovery. But, you can’t erase your past. It’s there, and it has made you who and what you are. It will always be a part of your present, the choice that you do have - is how you let it influence your decisions. And in realising this, you can begin to see the residue of your psychosis for what it is - residue. It doesn’t have to define your present. It simply has to be accepted with peace..... Peace to you all 8) **I have posted something similar on my Tumblr, so if you see that - that's by me too, this is from my heart and not copied !

schizo-

A beautiful sentiment that offers hope to people for whom hope is frequently in short supply. Thanks for sharing.
