Every bone in my body is telling me to visit him but my friends tell me to move on and forget him because of the way he has treated me. I feel they don't understand due to watching him have a breakdown a year ago and I couldn't help him becuase i was in a bad place myself. Now I am better and I feel I am in a better positiion to help him. I know he relies on people.

Just wish I knew what to do.

Why dont you go visit him? Give him warning and go see him, it sounds like that is what you want to do.

I think if you are good then your friends are also good but if you are bad then your friends are same like you.
