STUCK! CONFUSED! - is it BPD issue or not? Need advice

Postby leapsnbounds » Thu Dec 02, 2010 4:17 pm

ABOUT ME:
Diagnosed with BPD 3 yrs ago. Have worked so hard on issues. Much better at responding not reacting, apologising very quickly for my own mistakes and less confrontational and angry. Have addressed some core issues to address root of my problems. But still finding romantic relationships hard.

Have edited post as am still paranoid :D - but special thanks for the reply - I think that allowing more time is a good way to figure things out as BPD is chopping and changing all the time so time should be a good thing. THANKS :D

Hi! Why don't you try explaining to "x" that because of your BPD you need a little more time to figure things out. Tell him it's emotional stuff you need to deal with before you commit, because it wouldn't be fair to him otherwise and it's sort of true. Then you can take your time and decide if you want to spend your life with him.
