Did she want me to talk to her?

At school(Adult high school), I smoke on the side entrance where few people go to smoke. After 1st period, I went out, only to see the most gorgeous girl ever. Shorter than me, slim, dressed in all black, an she was smoking. We made eye contact a few times while smoking, and about halfway through my smoke, I just stopped looking her way completely, not wanting to look like a perv until I was just about done my smoke. Before flicking my smoke, I turned my head and noticed she had already finished hers, but why wasn't she heading in to class, it's really cold outside. Then the moment I @!@@@! mine and proceeded to walk indoors, she began to walk too, slightly ahead of me. We both got at the doors at the same time and when she opened it, she paused, turned her head, looked right into my eyes, then went in. I was right behind her just assuming she would just walk on in like most people do. But my question is, did she want me to talk to her or something? I'm usually oblivious to signals from girls. I think she wanted me to say something, start conversation. What do you guys think?

And if she didn't, so what? You wanted to talk to her, didn't you? Make the first move!

I'm absolutely horrible at keeping up conversation, I guess that's what holds me back. I don't want an embarissing awkward silence. But yes I did want to talk to her. I was intimidated by how amazing gorgeous she was. She's not over-the-top hot but this girl is my taste, she's got what I like personally.

My brother had a rule when he was single. If he caught a woman looking him over more than 3 times, he'd introduce himself.

It's so hard to pick up the signals from the opposite sex sometimes and have the confidence to act. I think the better a woman sends off these signals, the more you'll be able to pick them up and act on them.

I wish I could be a bit more like your brother, I just can't seem to just head over and say hi. I need more confidence. I really do wish I can just walk up to girls, or even some guy, and have a decent conversation without being worried, feeling anxiety, having nothing to say, or having awkward silent moments.
