Help

Recently my wife made some verbal threats like "I wish I could kill you" and "I wish you die" and "I'd be better off it you where dead"

The last time she made that threat I called the police and a filed a report. What I didnt know is that the DA got the report and has brought her to court over the statement. Question did I have the right to call the police?

She is seeking divorce now but I think she has a metal illness but cant find one that covers this type of behavor. Dose any one know one or of one?

She claims that I'm the one with the metal or personnality disorder. I have been to counseling and found that I have a little anger problem but it is under control.

Cant seem to get my wife to go to counseling because she says shes not the one that is sick.

What do I do next?
thanks

If you felt physically threaten then you had every right to call the police. If you just did it to get her in trouble because you were angry at her then it was wrong. IMO

What do you mean?

Do you not want to get a divorce?

No I dont want to go through a divorce, I was want her to seek marrital counseling and to get a medical exam to see if she may be or have some type of Bi-polar disfunction.

You just dont go around and tell your spouse that "I wish I could kill you or I wish you die better yet I'd be better off if you would die" thats not normal, even in the heat of the moment.

As of now we are waiting on court dates to see what will happen. She maybe told to get a medical exam by the courts.

I'm afraid that there's not much you can do about except let her go.
If she is determined to get a divorce then that's her decision. A personality disorder/mental illness alone is unlikely to make her incapable of making such decisions. She would have to be recognised as of unsound mind and not capable of making any rational decisions, unless she is severely mentally incapacitated or has a degenerative physiological disease the courts are going to deem fit.

I'm sorry your marraige is falling apart. You obliviously care alot for your wife but it's up to the courts now.

I think this was wrong to call police and as I think if you will talk him without angering then your problem may be solved.
