Yes I do, and did all the time during several long term relationships. I need a place to withdraw. It is nice to have the opportunity to visit each other. I introduced a ritual agreeing every evening who sleeps where. Furthermore my mate likes to watch TV late at night and the mice in her bedroom sometimes make a lot of noise with the running wheel. Furthermore she snores sometimes, lol.
To me this is luxurity. Of course you need enough rooms for that arrangement.

Yea, I don't think this is a problem if it works for the two people.

As Tanoujin wrote, there are some practical reasons why it works for some (and provided some good examples). Relationships are whatever works for two people.

I agree. Each relationship sets its own rules, worrying about them not fitting with generic ones portrayed in media is useless.
I'm a sort of a 'hug me there's a monster in the corner' kind of a person but sleeping in separate beds is something I wouldn't have an issue with. Being separated for 8 or so hours is survivable I think. Unless you mean lack of sexual life by it. That one's an actual issue.

Probably would be an issue for many, but that happens too (e.g., people get older, become ill, etc.) and some still stay with their partner because the relationship is meaningful/important to them. Also some people are asexual. Not common, but it happens.

Anyway yea, getting hung up on a media portrayal of how a relationship should be doesn't work for some people, and that's fine. If they enjoy each other, and sleeping in separate beds is what works, then I personally think they should do what makes them happy. It causes nobody else any harm.

I agree. It doesn't have to be a dealbreaker if both sides are still willing to make it work.
And it's probably easier to deal with when in a longterm relationship/marriage where people already have their whole lives built together. When not properly addressed often leads to cheating unfortunately.
