I've been giving this thread some thought over this week. If I was to guess what fuels "Out of Control" life script (see my post above), it would be exactly this.
I don't understand how this would make me a bad person. Focus, in the context that I'm using it, means that he should think or plan and create barriers that will avoid a certain outcome. I provided one barrier that would prevent the outcome: stop babysitting the girl. If he can't even do this, then he's probably going to end up raping the little girl psychologically damaging her and might end up in jail. That's the reality, regardless of whatever gripes you have with social game theory.
