Howdy, I'm Chuck and new here.
Now I have a thing I forgot what it's called. I LOVE to Touch and smell people that I'm with in a relationship. no matter where we are I feel compelled to hold them, rub their side, and sniff them.
My wife and ex's always made a joke saying it's like I'm an animal inspecting their food before eating them.
Now it does feel like OCD but then it doesn't because I don't do it to everyone around me just people I'm attracted too. and it does turn me on but doesn't REV ME UP. I can deal with not having sex just as long as I can touch and smell the person I'm with.
What i'm trying to ask is, how can I control this because sometimes it does get embarrassing for them. Being at the Wal-mart or Mall and people see me grab a woman and start sniffing their neck

Hi, Misterchuck! This does sound a bit like a compulsion, if you can't help yourself. Have you tried having something that distracts you on you? Maybe something that usually calms people down might work a bit like a stress ball.
Do you have any other compulsions or anxiety?
Please remember that we're not professionals here, though. I think it'd be good for you to talk to a psych about this ( you could ask your regular doctor where to find a good one, for a start), maybe there are mild meds that can help, even.
forum-rules.phpI am sorry I am not on the forum as much as I used to be, if I do not reply to you quickly, please contact another moderator/supermod/admin as well.

What do you something to Distract me?
and I have a nervous twitch.
oh I know no one is a professional here. it's just something I wanted to share and see if anyone else was the same. because you know the old saying "It's not weird if you find someone else who shares the idea" LOL

Hehehehe, I'm sure there are other people who have this urge too.
Well, is there anything that you're really into, for instance (that might serve as a distraction so you won't be as tempted to do this stuff when it's not appropriate I mean)?

So try to keep busy when you're in public, as much as you can, to avoid embarrassment, I guess.
Maybe more posters will reply if we keep bumping the thread
Hey, maybe post about it in the sexuality forums too.

For whatever reason, the paedophiles here vastly outnumber other paraphilias, and as such responses to non-paedophilia-related topics can sometimes be scant. But we should remember that what we all have in common is the challenge of not acting on fantasies that could cause harm, upset, embarassment, social stigmatization, etc. In that sense, our goals are much the same: to control sexual urges and find some kind of outlet or distraction that serves to mitigate our desires or palliate our woes.

Well try to make more threads, sometimes that gets people talking more.

Exactly. Only one way to redress the balance and that's to get posting.
