Watched CP for about 6 months, feel EXTREMELY guilty over it

Not many months ago I used to view CP photos for roughly over 6 months, in some weeks 2/3 cases of such in a week. Then I started to drop off a little, and then stopped it completely. But recently, I have felt extremely guilty, as well as extremely paranoid and nervous to $#%^ about what could happen to me, serious, serious $#%^.

I am not a paedophile in any way, just found regular porn boring, which is why I reverted to the CP. And before you ask, I feel beyond extremely guilty for what I have done; I have sinned terribly! I just want to forget all about it and never go to such a dark place ever again. And like I've said, I've fully STOPPED it and never going towards it again!

Can someone help me in this? Give me some stern words? Advice?

Did you pay anyone for those photos? Did you molest any kids yourself in order to produce those photos? Did you benefit the people who took those photos in any way so far as you can tell?

Because if the answer to all of those is no, what exactly are you feeling guilty about?

Everyone makes mistakes but if you're conscientious enough to still be feeling guilty you owe it to yourself to just draw a line under that time and move on.

Ignore YRR. If you have any sense you will put this down to VERY BAD decision making - it can ruin your life, especially in the UK, so best to move on as Maligan said and don't ever do it again. If by any chance the police have been alerted to what you have done you might get away with a warning. Just take this comment as that warning, since it is just not worth the risk of being demonised as a sex-offender in almost any country.

This is exactly how I felt. I can only echo what other people have said - just put it down as a period in your life and move on. If you are like me then watching this stuff didn't end in any more excitement than regular porn and made you feel massively guilty afterwards. I am awaiting prison next year and, believe me, nothing in the world is worth this.

Maybe watching some legally available ISIS videos will help put things in perspective?

Being 16 in the UK you would most likely be cautioned and your name would not be made public in the worst case scenario. The best thing you can do is not watch it any more. There is a confidential helpline you can google called Stop It Now!. They are trained advisers and you can speak to them anonymously.

As an aside, if you take a picture of yourself and share it the law says that is child porn. Do you think this is fair?
