I thought it might be fun to have a thread dedicated to the stupidity of the public in dealing with paraphiles. I'll kick things off with a few links plagiarised from previous threads or found through my own sleuthing:

Various instances of risible folly

Not really related, and much more forgivable, but still amusing and so I thought I'd mention it here, is a girl on YouTube aged about 8 complaining in one video that she keeps getting lewd comments from dirty perverts and yet in other videos jubilantly showing clips of her successes on a lap-dancing computer game, which features a cartoon woman in next to nothing gyrating in front of men in suits on comfortable sofas. Wtf? I won't provide a link to spare the poor girl's modesty, but trust me - it's very real!

idk I understand the fear people have of people being pedophiles. Not that I agree with discriminating against certain people because of it.

But i find it interesting that i always find myself super suspicious of people in public, probably because IM a pedophile so i know what kind of people are out there.

When I see kids by themselves, in a store or in their neighborhood I always think where the heck are their parents and why would they leave their kids alone? and I always imagine how easy it would be to just take that kid. Not that i'm thinking about doing it. I just do it to prove how irresponsible their parents are.

i get the fear people have, but I do think it can be taken waay too far.

In Germany, a lot of schoolchildren - even at primary school age - walk to school on their own. And as far as I know they don't get abducted any more than in other countries.

They wouldn't because it's germany. lol it's safer than say, america. america is like, a cesspool of danger.

My favorite article is the children leaving the pool because they mistaken a fake leg for a pedophile. What were they thinking?

My Gosh are we really that fearful of pedophiles? Do people even know what a pedophile is?

I remember this well, as I was in the area when it happened.

It's got to be said that most people were absolutely dumbfounded by the sheer stupidity of it all.

Ok, these are funny ones, but they only deal with pedophilia. Have you found anything about other paraphilias?

I know about the pedophilia mass hysteria though, but every paraphile can be treated like sh*t.
