"During a BBC debate, the question was asked: "Should male circumcision be illegal like female circumcision?"
This caused MP Anna Soubry to angrily protest at the use of language, calling it "racist and hate speech". She then went on (with the support of two other panelists) to totally separate male circumcision from female circumcision.
Therefore, one has to ask the question: Is it possible to circumcise a female and genitally mutilate a male?

This is a demonstration of the sexism that surrounds the forced genital cutting of children. Anna Soubry is clearly a misandrist, and should resign from politics.

When society recognizes this is NOT a ~female-only~ issue, we can then fight to stop the genital mutilation of CHILDREN."

Everything. Strapping children down to cut off the most sensitive part of their genitals is damaging their sexuality, and the paraphilia of pedophilia is mentioned later on in the video.

"Mentioning" paedophilia doesn't really relate to the original topic title. Nor how you framed your first post. This would probably would fit better in the Sexuality forum.

If the topic of this forum has been addressed in an article or video, then it's relevant. Just watch the video and reflect on it. The bit where he explains how people falsely regard pedophilia to be sexual abuse, is something that needs shouting from the hill-tops. I really don't understand the hostility of this forum sometimes.

The original title was "Cut their genitals and send them to jail for their sexuality", but you've gone and changed it to "circumcision discussion". Why did you do that? The sexuality in the title refers to pedophilia. Do you have a problem with that? It may be classified as a disorder, but it's still a sexuality. I can see on this board, a thread titled "All you pedos need therapy before you rape a baby", so if you're going to go changing people's titles behind their backs, perhaps you would like to prioritize the offensive and prejudice ones first.

Mentioning pedophilia once in a 15-minute video doesn't really make it relevant to this forum. And there was nothing in your first post to state that pedophilia was even mentioned in the video.

It sounds like you're confused. Circumcision and pedophilia are not related. It's obvious you want to discuss circumcision, which is probably why your title was changed.

No, I am not confused, but you are certainly pedantic and awkward. You want to use up post space arguing about the relevance of the video, rather than actually discuss it. Circumcision without medical need or consent, is genital mutilation. Genital mutilation is sexual abuse, and this type of sexual abuse is celebrated while all pedophiles are accused of being sexual abusers when most are not. Some people have circumfetishes; as in they like to carve their opinion into the genitals of children based on their preferences. That could well be called a paraphilia. How many times should the word be used in how many minutes for you to confirm it has a place here? If you don't want to see the video or discuss it, go away and stop wasting my time. If the next post isn't about the video, I shall remove myself from this forum and never return. I think there is a problem here because this forum is in the USA? Land of the baby boy sex mutilators. Wake up to what is going on, and stop allowing society to call you the abusers when it is them.

I'd say the two, male and female, are highly equivalent. I'd suggest giving boys and girls a choice once they are competent to make decisions about their bodies, i.e. once they are Gillick competent, so sometime after 8ish. It's hard to imagine what boy or girl would chose circumcision in awareness of all the facts?

The relation to pedophilia is circumcision is also a child rights issue.

This wasn't supposed to be a discussion about circumcision, although that's fine it if becomes one. The mods here very rudely changed the title. There was a very interesting piece in that video where a politician was literally portraying paedophiles as "evil" on national television, and that is wholly unacceptable. Then, she laughs and jokes and condones the knife-rape of children. This $#%^ needs to be exposed.
