Did anyone else hear about this?

So FB was ON FIRE this week circulating an article about this pedophile who was disemboweled in prison after bragging about his crimes. Did anyone else read about it? I believe it occurred somewhere in the UK. I was really ambivalent reading it. I hate the loss of human life. I hate the brutality. But on the same note I hate that he harmed children and I hate that he bragged about it like it was some sort of accomplishment.

Yeah I read that story. The bit that always annoys me, is the other 2 prisoners who killed him were bastards themselves; the bizarre crime totem pole is hypocritical.

I find it so appalling for that to happen, regardless of someone's crime it is for the justice system to deal with not other low life scum in prison who think they are somehow better than someone else. People even people who have done really bad things deserve a chance to be rehabilitated. One of the guys killed two old women for gods sake, what a big man he is attacking elderly defenceless women.

The justice system needs to seriously work on how people are dealt with in sentencing etc, no one wants to be branded a "Paedo" whether innocent or guilty, but when they do it's all over the news or at least local rag, people then can make that persons life a nightmare or even kill them or make them commit suicide because it does happen in real life.

People who commit theft or other crimes often don't get treated any worse than anyone else, maybe the only exception is murderers who may get death threats etc but I imagine these rarely get attacked etc.

People won't come forward for help because they are so afraid of the possible backlash and that does more harm than good.

I don't understand why a pedophile should be brutally killed in jail by other people who also committed violent crimes, especially if they were killers.
I might think this way because I'm a pedo myself, and anyway the fact that the guy molested children doesn't automatically make him a pedophile, I don't know whether he was a pedo or not, but it shouldn't have happened, period.

It's a shame, really. And no one should have the arrogance to think they can kill someone else.

What i dont understand is why pedophiles are treated worse than terrorists.

Shouldn't it be considered cruel and unusual punishment to send someone to a place where they will be disemboweled?

THAT is a very good question as a terrorist can inflict more harm on a child than a child molester.

There are many things I find terrifying in this story:

1. Cannibals killing a sex offender. I find cannibals extremely scary and disturbing, and what they did, in my eyes, is absolutely disgusting and non-human. Even to me, me that is a person with very little prejudices and who avoids judging people and is very open-minded even about disturbing things, now yeah even to me IT WAS DISTURBING.

2. In the article it says that those guys killed a pedophile. Really? Again, why not use the word child molester? Because that is what he was. He molested a little girl, but who told them he was a pedophile? I don't believe that guy was a pedophile really, and anyway liking a 13 year-old girl is not very pedophilic. BUT I MIGHT ADD, rape is usually not a sexual crime but rather a power, dominance crime.

3. They killed that guy because they thought he was arrogant, or because he molested a little girl? The two cannibals probably thought "Oh, we should act on our urges, why not doing this to a "pedophile"? After all, they're scum of the earth!". I don't believe it was a coincidence that the victim was a child molester.

4. "Mann was serving a life sentence with a minimum of 24 years for the vicious murder of two woman aged 72 and 56, at a nursing home in Leicestershire, in 2010". Mann is one of the killers. This guy is a serial killer, is a serial killer really better than a child molester? Does a murderer have the right to brutally kill a child molester? Lol, of course not, and he's no better.

5. "Mr Smith QC told the court that prior to Harrison’s death, Mann had warned prison staff that he would kill someone, but that these had been dismissed as threats."
Really? So, prison staff ignored those threats? What if someone told a cop they wanted to rape a child, would the cops still ignore the threats? Hmmm...

6. Read the comments below the article. Some people expressed how it was okay, because the killed guy got what he deserved.
