I read that quote recently and it was just so depressingly true.

I've wanted to find a good man for so long. I have bipolar disorder and obssessive compulsive disorder. I can't stop obssessing about finding the right guy. I try to put it out of my head and tell myself that patience is a virtue and if I focus on either things, he will come along. But it seems the more I do this, the more I think about it and cry over it.

As much as I want love, I consider finding a friends with benefits type thing. I know it wouldn't make me happy in the long run, but at least it would be a distraction.

Can anyone relate to this, at all?

There is no such thing as the "right guy." This is a made up concept. Attaching evaluative terms such as right and wrong to potential romantic relationships will only set you up to start obsessing over whether or not he is the "right guy."

Try making mental space for the obsessive thoughts and allowing them to be there. Be willing to go with your thoughts. This may be helpful:
