...from the GAD Forum. (I wasn't sure which forum was more appropriate.)I wrote:Today, I cleaned my sink and shower with non-microbicidal soap for the first time—and that was one full shower drain! I'd put it off for months out of dread, and did I mention I'm a hair donor? You know what that means.

Just to be clear, I
did wear gloves when touching the shower drain, and after rinsing them in the sink, I rubbed them and the bowl of the sink with a piece of paper towel soaked in isopropylol, which I then used to finish off the last few visible spots in the shower before the isopropylol evaporated.
At one point, my bare knuckles brushed against the sink where my gloves had just touched it (before the isopropylol). That was a bit unnerving, but I swallowed my anxiety and continued washing normally instead of freaking out and scrubbing like an emergency surgeon as I might have done before. The whole procedure really wasn't as scary as I thought it would be—icky, but not scary.
What do you think? Does that sound like a healthy amount of caution? Am I still too uptight about cleanliness, or have I become too loose?

Hi Twinkling_Butterfly!
I'm so sorry you never received a response to your post.
I personally don't think you were over cautious in cleaning those drains.
But then again, just the thought of cleaning a drain is enough to make me lightheaded

.
Well wishes,
Evol
