Success stories hocd with SSRI / CBT

Hello there,

I've been suffering with hocd on and off.

now it got terrible because I'm with a girlfriend whom I love very much, yet I got a panic attack and now every time he have sex I have the image of one of my best friends of my same sex and can't get aroused.

I was wondering if any of you had experience with OCD concerning only one person and if you had any success stories to tell with SSRI or Exposure response prevention therapy.

Also, if any of you are on SSRI, how did it affect your sex life?

I've been in the same boat as you, i got hocd about 18 months ago, been with my girlfriend for 7 years and I'm still with her, she doesn't even know the full extent of my problem, any how i started taking sertaline anti depressants.

They helped me for a little while, i still had the thoughts and i still had the anxiety, but i was a little calmer and seemed to be tired a fair bit.
My libido dropped so much on sertaline, this caused me a lot of anxiety in its self, especially when my girlfriend wanted sex, i felt a lot of pressure and most of the time i ended up failing.

I spoke to my doctor and i slowly came of the tablets, I've had some therapy sessions before this, which helped a bit, now my anxiety is a lot better, i still have thoughts and i'm not back to my normal self yet.
But i feel like i'm slowly getting there, i hope!
