For a few weeks I happily considered myself gay. This is how I felt before I had HOCD. Unfortunately I'm starting to get intrusive thoughts about being bi and liking guys again. How can I prevent myself from having full-blown HOCD again?

To my knowledge, the only true way is to seek therapy. I wish I could tell you there was some quick at home remedy, but OCD doesn't work like that. I struggle with HOCD as well and it's really hard. It's okay to need help. So please help yourself and get a therapist, one who specializes in OCD, to help you get through this. You have to work at this to get out of this toxic thought pattern. This is a mental disorder, you can't fix it alone. So please seek help, you will thank yourself later!! I'm really hoping for the best for you, I know how scary this can feel. But I promise it will be better eventually

Therapy is the best answer. But I suggest you to find a mental way to stop those thoughts from re-occurring. It can be very stressing when the thoughts come back just when you have calmed yourself down. Keeping your mindset positive and having a busy and healthy lifestyle without much stress can also be really effective with therapy because it keeps your mind busy. Also it is important to have a person to talk to if the thoughts keep coming back so therapy might be considerable.
