POCD and dreaming

Postby hyphybum2014 » Sat Apr 18, 2015 5:11 am

Still suffer from pocd. Had a dream last night that I was checking for reassurance in the web. It was so vivid that I could feel the tip of my fingers touching the keyboard. In the dream, I was looking at borderline illegal $#%^. I then felt so bad. After that, I woke up. t was a nightmare. My ocd is now affecting my psyche to the point of insanity. I stopped looking for reassurance a little while ago. Why did I dream that. What does all of this mean?

i think your dream is meaningless and only a manifestation of the content of your thoughts during they day rather than your actual character. When i was deeper in my obsessions before, I had frequent nightmares about almost doing bad things too.

I've had horrible graphic ocd dreams before too, I'm glad I'm not alone. Don't worry, my therapist said your dreams are just your brain mashing up random thoughts together and mean nothing. Because your obsessing over these thoughts all the time they're bound to come up in your dreams. It's just OCD :)
