"intense paranormal theme"

I wrote this just to try and find other people who are in the same position as me. not to argue the existence for and against the paranormal so if you have a hatred of it then this is NOT the place to give vent to it.

I guess the best place to start would be where it all started to go wrong. After abandoning my religion that I was born into I began to take secular views and became a bit antireligious. I am not exactly sure when but later on I started to hear about a topic called psi. I myself had a fuzzy idea of what it was but nothing solid. (you probably have not heard of psi but you may of heard of esp if not this http://www.parapsych.org/ is probably the best place to start not wikipedia as I feel it is biased.

So I took an interest in it and began to purchase book and read up on it. I then decided it was probably real and accepted it in my world view discarding anti religious view in the process.

All this time I did have mental problems that I did not know what to do with and this is something that I have fought with since early childhood. I then at some point began to think something like this...If we all have psychic abilities that are usually underpowered but still there...and deadly diseases are caused by very very small things....then thinking about those things can give me a disease.

That moment intrusive thoughts started and since then it has been about three years and my brain has been rewired to process intrusive thoughts.

I have had CBT and it has done practically nothing to help me there must be someone else out there that has a similar problem.
