obsession or insanity? crying please help!

Postby starryskies76 » Mon Aug 11, 2014 9:40 pm

I have a seriously weird obsesson with death. The thing is i don;t know anyone who has died so I repeatedly have intrusive thoughts and feelings about how i would feel to expereince a death of someone i know. I feel so sick and horrible and anxious because I actually feel like I want it to happen as i'm so curious. Now i keep checking to see if this is normal and i'm not crazy and I am crying right now and my heart is racing. Am I crazy for thinking this way or is it just an obsession, someone please help me.

It's OCD. Poor thing, I've been with OCDs like this before.

Look, you need to try and decide that you won't listen to this fear anymore, even though you fear the possibility. I need you to act like you don't care, and try and suppress the thoughts. I don't think you're ready for the advanced stuff like deciding you don't care at all BECAUSE it's OCD, but you can decide you won't deal with the problem, and prohibit bad reasons from being placed on your decision?

Really you've had the same obsessions? That makes me feel better =) it's just so hard you know because I feel like such a bad person and sometimes I really can't tell if the obsessions are ocd or me, they feel so real :/ thank you for replying though :)

The obsessions come strong when I watch mature TV shows or sad movies with lots of deaths, then I have thoughts like it would be heroic for me or someone I know to die and then I start obsessing and feeling awful.
