Hello
I have this constant tension headache on top of my head, feels like a weight pressing down. I have a bad compulsion for order and symmetry which gets really worse when taking anxiety meds like diazepam. I also have a minor sinusitis infection but I doubt that's the cause. I'm not depressed and taking serotonin doesn't have any effect except mood boosts. Aspirin and caffetin just relieve bit of pressure around the sides.
It's inherited and I always tried to ignore it but it seems like it's blocking my brain from functioning properly, I easily lose my train of thoughts and can't concentrate properly
Thanks

Hi Matt,
OCD and anxiety can cause physical problems, but I'm not sure if that or the meds are your issue. Maybe you need a change of meds, if you noticed that these problems (or some of them) started after meds.

It's my OCD that's causing it, benzodiazepines just dull the anxiety worsen the compulsions but the head pressure is always there
Paracetamol and pain killers have great effect and lower my depersonalization but I don't wanna become addicted

I also had extremely bad headaches due to OCD. It is actually what led me to try to fix the OCD problem. Once I got a handle on OCD, the headaches went away almost entirely. My advice would be to work on all the manifestations of OCD you have with behavior therapy and mindfulness and you will probably see some relief with the headaches. However, benzos actually knocked the headaches out as well, but once I was cut off from the benzo supply, I had to fix it only through the therapy route.

I used to have ice pick headaches related to OCD. It actually felt like someone was taking an ice pick to my head. Once I got over the OCD, the headaches went away and never came back.
