I know someone who after being tested had a strep titre of 400, and was prescribed 1 week of azithromycin (antibiotic) as well as prophylaxis penicillin (250mg BD) to prevent being reinfected. Penicillin needs to be continued for a very long time. Possibly up to a decade. Read about PANDAS. This can affect adults as well. There is hope for all of you who feel desperate. Get tested.
