I have a question about POCD

Can someone have POCD and still be a pedophile?

I'm not a psych. So this is not in any way an "official" or knowledgeable answer. But I would say yes it's possible. But in the same way that a lottery win is possible. Massively unlikely. I also don't think the POCD and genuine sexual desires would overlap. The only way I can see this working is if someone was, for example, attracted to young girls. And was POCD about young boys.

That's theoretical, though. In practice, POCD is SUCH a mindf*ck, that I think it would be almost impossible to work this out. Except maybe years after the POCD has been tackled and is no longer an issue. It's a million times more likely it's just the POCD taking another twist.
