Ive been diagnosed with OCD, i know I'm in the wrong forum but my ocd centers around the fear of being a pedophile. As i was ruminating and contemplating all my worries of pedophilia i came to a question of concern. I recall a time where I was working at a after school care years ago and a prepubescent girl admitted to having a crush on me. Is it wrong to feel a slight sense of flattery? Not in the way a girl my age would make me feel, but the slightest sense of flattery to knowing this admiration. This is my new worry. Id like to hear what some of you think.

I don't think so. Most people want to be liked, so being told that someone likes us is pleasing or may even make us proud. It may also suggest that you were good at the job, which is another thing you can be pleased about. (Being liked by children is probably a good quality for someone who works in after school care.)
