Unhappy

So my life up until now has felt completely insane. I'm not sure if this goes here or not, but I don't know where else to put it.

Right now I'm taking an abnormal psychology class. I've always had a "knack" for the subject (if that's possible) and have recently been toying with the idea of making it my major. That's not really what I want to talk about, though.

A few weeks ago we ...

First therapy session

I get free counseling sessions at school so I decided to sign up for one. Now i'm really nervous about it and don't know if should bring up DID or not. I've never been to any kind of counseling in my life and am considering just canceling it! Any advice is welcome. If i bring up DID can they like institutionalize me or something?

Schizoaffective or bipolar with psychosis?

Hey all,

I just spent 20 minutes prior to this typing out my post and lost it when I hit preview so I'll make this one shorter. Lucky for all the impatient readers out there. :P

I currently have a diagnosis of schizoaffective but have been wondering about the diagnosis as some events this past week have made me ponder it.

For the past 3 weeks I ...

Jobs, Can You Keep Them?

The original thread, concept and idea are Iniquity's, she has given me permission to put her questions in this thread. I edited one of the questions so that it applies to this sub-forum.

So without further adieu, here are the questions:

Iniquity wrote:What kind of work do you do at the moment?

How long have you been employed in your current job?

Do you enjoy your work?

Does your ADHD/ADD impact your work in some ...

It follows me everywhere!

Hey guys, I am back! I don't know if it's a good thing or bad...

I really missed this place, so I decided to come back :) The reason I left was that I felt detached from everything and didn't know what I was doing. I tried to escape my borderline issue...definitely didn't work. It didn't leave me for a single second...doesn't that suuuuccck!

I think I ...

My Different Alternative to Cutting.....

Hi, I'm new here, anyway..
I don't always cut when I'm depressed. I cut because of the adrenaline and rush I get.

***Triggering***
I have recently discovered I get the same feeling as I cut when I wear pointe shoes without toe pads. If you don't know, when you dance in pointe shoes, you're standing at the legit tips of your toes~on ablocka wood~and without toe pads, I can pretty much feel everything. It hurts ...

Has anyone else noticed greater empathy with Animals?

This may have been covered in the time I was not here (and that's a lot of pages of forum activity to look through), but I've noticed significantly increased animal empathy in myself and some other people with Asperger's. My dad (who very likely has it) is the same way, and we both maintain that animals are much easier to understand than people. Now, some of my friends have some signs of AS, but I ...
