Feeling Alone

I feel isolated by this, feel that they rule my life, and that no one really gets it. I don't tell anyone after my best friend stopped talking to me after accusing me of lying, and now I just am not sure what to do. An alter of mine, Princess, wants to go to a group therapy of some sorts, but can't find any relating to DID. It feels defeating, another of my alter making ...

Cool Sayings

I always like making sayings, so I made a few that might inspire other BPDers to love themselves for who they are.

-When your core personality goes from being yourself to hiding yourself, you're well on your way to personality disorder.

-Everybody has worth and purpose. The rigid environment convinces unique people they don't.

-Different isn't bad, it's different.

-Not being liked doesn't mean you're unlikeable, it might mean the other person's personality is too ...

BPD - Finally Confronting My Girlfriend

Hi:

This is my first post on these boards, so please accept my apologies if I stray somewhat from protocol.

I am a forty-something male non-BPD who is in a long-term relationship with a forty-something woman who I suspect suffers from some form of personality disorder. While she is a beautiful, brilliant and quick-witted person who functions quite normally in most facets of life, our relationship has been stormy at best. We love and care ...

It's good to be an ex-narcissist :-)

Hello again (I), Interestingly in the last few days with some hard work I got some sort of full enlightenment from the origin of my ex-narcissism (II) personal history, family influence etc.

So I got two more thoughts :
1) When you got a family member who is a full blown narcissist getting much worst as the years go by : nasty hierarchic (money/friends/love/skills etc.) remarks coming forward in the most unexpected situations (I can ...

I'm Just Looking For Lots of Love

Fortune, Fame, and Sex may be nice, but when it is all said and done the title of the thread is all I am after. It doesn't have to be strictly relationship based or from family and can come from any situation. Simply put I am looking for the love that can be extracted from the small encounters in life that most take for granted.

I actually went outside today for the first time in ...

Little Things That Amuse You About People

People are funny and quite definately strange. So let's talk about things that amuse you or strike you as strange about "normal" people or just people in general.

Something I find funny/can't understand is women's denial of being feminists. I hear it all the time in university. I'll hear a woman start off a pro-women's rights talk with "I'm not a feminist but...". I just have to ask why. Why aren't you a feminist? You're ...

Depressed :(

I don't know whats wrong with me. I can't get over this overarching sadness that has taken hold of my soul. I feel like something is missing from my life, something always out of reach. I remember feeling joy, everyday, like a distant memory. I feel in shades of grey. Life is blurry. I can't focus. I guess I'm depressed about being schizophrenic. It kind of put a road block in my life. I'm angry ...

Should we encourage our behavior??

I have been diagnosed with ASPD for the last 13 years. I never had an issue with it except the scattered thoughts and anger associated with the impulses and the need for stimulation. It gets quite frustrating. all other aspect of it I find very useful.
I have been able to spot other sociopaths very easily if I get to know any kind of history or insight to who they are. Most have been older ...

struggling newbie

Hi, I'm a 33 year old mother of three boys. I have a 16 year old step-son, a 7 year old with Aspergers & ADHD, and a 6 year old. I've suffered with depression/dysthymia on and off for many years now, and I regularly take medications. Unfortunately, with money being so tight, I ran out of meds about two weeks ago and haven't been able to fill them yet. So of course, there's been a ...

Job Quitting...Always Running

So...I have recently been diagnosed with BPD. Its been suggested before by past psychs, but now it seems like its pretty apparent.

Just quit a job, not having another job lined up. This isnt the first time I've done this because I simply could not take it anymore. I worked for a company that produced high end fancy expensive bath products and was in the fashion industry. It was like the Devil Wears Prada. All ...
