Funny situation (Nons and NPDers)

Postby tomster » Thu Aug 23, 2012 1:47 am

Basically, I commented on a NPD blog on Facebook by a woman going through a divorce with somebody with NPD... She asked me her life story and I responded. All of a sudden, some woman gives me a "is this a joke" response - thing is, a mate who knows I have NPD decides to comment on this post.

What should I do basically? (obviously apart from wanting to have a massive go at this woman.. cos no disrespect, but I've not really not done anything wrong) - would a reply be gaslighting?

Her reply was pretty much "is this a joke" - implying.. 1) he's got NPD.. is he telling the truth or 2) trolling.

Also, I'm pretty open about NPD - telling other people doesn't really bother me. I was wondering how to respond to something like that - and how to do it without gaslighting.

Just to be sure (I'm not all that familiar with the terminology), your definition of "gaslighting" here includes simple/direct perceived attacks at the validity of what someone has just said, right?

Does having a personality disorder make you feel special?

EDIT:

You''re a moron.
I love this melo-dramatic teenage girl quote avatar.
I love how the italics make this even more dramatic.

Or maybe he's just bolder. Words, words... It's all relative.
