Hi everyone.
I am diagnosed with social phobia but I have only one symptom of social phobia and that's anxiety in front of authoritative people. I never talked with my shrink about my NPD, but it is certain that I am narcissistic. And I never had problems with that so why should I complain?
The answer I need is how NPD's handle with authorities? I don't think they accept anyone being above them, and that's one of my problems too.
Is it possible that my social anxiety symptom could be NPD symptom?( I got beaten by uncle in childhood by uncle, and sexually molested by neighbour and since then I have this anxiety in front of people more dominant than me).
Like I said before, I really do not have any of social anxiety symptoms, I'm pretty much attention whore.
So could you answer me on this one?
P. S. Sorry for perhaps bad english I think you can understand me well.
Thank you.

I'm a covert narcissist, and I'm a sort of court jester/'teacher's pet' with managers at work. I'm over familiar with them, rather than anxious, but strangely, I have sometimes been a bit ill at ease with them as well.
I thought that social phobia involved a more debilitating level of social anxiety than purely anxiety around authority, but I'm not downplaying what a problem that must be for you, or what happened to you as a child.
I would think that overt narcissists would be careful only to present their best sides to managers, but I don't know how they are with authority in general. Sorry if I misunderstood, and you weren't talking about superiors at work.

Like I said, I'm diagnosed with social anxiety just because I have problem in dealing with authorities. I'm anxious in precense of one.
But I do not have any of Social phobia symptoms anymore.
Is it because I, the Narcissist can't stand someone above me(what then should be case with other NPD's too)? Or is it just a childhood trauma that probably developed my NPD and this authority issue?

I don't know if your anxiety around authority is to do with your childhood traumas, but perhaps you could discuss this with your shrink, if you haven't already, and perhaps ask them if the traumas caused your narcissism too.
I don't think that anxiety around authority is a feature of covert or overt narcissism; maybe other narcissists disagree?

Everyone is the same to me. An authority figure that acts as if they are superior than others is simply an insecure individual in my eyes and I will treat them as the children they are. (as long as I am not negatively affected from doing so.)
Be extremely subtle, even to the point of formlessness. Be extremely mysterious, even to the point of soundlessness. Thereby you can be the director of the opponent's fate. - Sun Tzu
