I didn't read after the second paragraph , who ever wrote this is an utter idiot who has no idea what narcissism is.

Agreed. This is what someone who knew very little about npd would assume it to be. It doesn't describe the inner reality of someone with npd at all.

So write a letter to the editor about the insensitivity of the entire article and suggest they actually have a lengthy lecture from a psychiatrist on the underlying nature of narcissism.

I read the first paragraph, skimmed some of the rest, and had to laugh at how much cherry picking the author had to exercise in order to get a psychiatrist's input on NPD to match his/her own shallow, ignorant view.
