No, I don't think you are. While not all those who are attracted to sado/masochistic behaviors are narcissists, I believe (without any provable evidence) that this wouldn't be an unusual fetish for a N. It kind of fits in with the PD in many cases.
Unbeknownst to me, my ex-N led a secret "double life" in the BDSM community. Humiliation is the key word for many Ns. Ex-N enjoyed subjecting a multitude of {bad} women to humiliation for many many years. Of course I was the "saint" so I was spared any knowledge of this and in fact, he even withheld sex during our {very short} marriage. Later on down the road, he explored the bottom role. My belief is that it is related to the underlying need he feels for punishment.
I believe there may be
many more Ns in the BDSM community than one might imagine. Victims of Ns are loathe to discuss this subject, but I have had several Ns in therapy who have alluded to enjoying S&M.
But this is all supposition and I doubt there would even be a feasible way to study it.
