I agree. Makes me wonder if maybe there's an underlying testing element to his actions also. If she responds...will it be with gentle forgiveness? Or will it be with anger? Or indifference of no response?
This may be a way for him to determine whether to contact for NS in future.
His actions sound very purposeful. just a thought...
