My posts don't, well, POST

Hi.

I'm brand new, and tried posting twice today: once as a reply to an existing topic, and once by starting my own thread. I think the posts were separated by about four hours or so.

Thing is: there's no sign in my account that I posted ANYthing, ever.

I can understand it taking a while for a post to go up/go public, as it needs to be reviewed first...but there's no sign I ever wrote anything in my own account.

Is this normal? Problem? Something I should do?

Your first post MUST be reviewed by a moderator. When this post has been accepted, you should receive an email stating that the Psych Forums team has accepted your post.

After your first post is accepted, all other posts should appear immediately after clicking the 'submit' button.

Agreeing with Luciano about the moderation. And also, I think that posts don't "count" until they are visible. So your post count is 0 until the first few are approved. I think it might be the first 3 or 5? Something like that. Just so we can weed out Teh 3vil Spammrs.

I'm not sure how many the actual number is, I thought it might have been 2 maybe... The thing with it though, is that if you keep posting before whatever the number is (say 2) has been approved, your posts will keep needing to be previewed by moderators until someone has actually read and approved the required number. So as an example, if you post say 20 posts before a moderator has had a chance to read and approve the first couple, they will all go into the queue to be previewed.

So yeah, it's normal for posts to not appear right away if you are a new member.
