In line with what was stated in the more or less global introduction thread, I'll only go ahead and give out my first name.
I'm Vincent.
20 years old, diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome (due to the lack of comparable results, they gave me that diagnosis rather than high functioning autism), minor dysthemic depression, and an anxiety disorder.
I'm here because I'm interested in finding what treatments are available without use of a psychologist, therapist, or medication. Self training, specifically.
I've been in and out of therapy for my entire life, and the story is the same with every therapist I have ever been treated by - they couldn't do much because I know exactly what my problems are and how to fix them using classical treatment methods. It's like a patient walking into a clinic, describing their symptoms, then telling the doctor what their illness is and that they already have the proper medicines and rehabilitation equipment and have been using them. Something like that - mostly just to get the information down on paper.
My issue isn't what I've already been diagnosed with, it's the issues that haven't really been recognized as a problem yet. Things like apathy, the lack of self, the total lack of motivation, etc.
Currently unemployed due to lack of easy-to-find employers hiring. No major chain will take me, and no nearby stores are hiring. Many other places are on the bus routes in town, but I haven't actually bothered looking for them - which is an issue entirely of its own that I need to resolve.
My main interests on this site, specifically, are memories and dreams, and the psychological issues revolving around them.
Lovely to meet you all.
