Why do some posts have to be approved but not others?

Hello,

Just trying to sort through how the site works as i'm pretty new. It seems when i first started my posts had to be approved, then it seemed they didn't need to be but now it seems like they do again. Did I do something wrong that I need approval again?

are random posts subject to needing approval?

do they all need approval and I just failed to notice for a while?

Ok, so I know i'm not crazy (at least for this reason) since this post did not need approval but my last one did.

I think the issue is that you are posting to journals. For some reason, these posts are different. My experience is that every journal post must be approved, unlike the rest of the forum.
