Postby Nenhwa » Tue Mar 10, 2015 11:23 am

Im-pure has it right. :D

There are other places online that do that better than we could. So it's best to stick to what we do well.

Or perhaps. We couldn't police, for example. Having forums restricted to a single gender. Or a particular diagnosis. "Email a gendered letter from your psych and we'll give you appropriate access?" I don't think it would work very well. And we don't focus on our off topic forums. There's no point restricting access to Fun. :D

Or most of all. It's easier to keep to a single rule. "Make sure EVERY post is anonymous." Rather than having different privacy norms in different parts of the forum. Which people would be more likely to get confused about.

The only area it would be nice to have some privacy in are the journals...people talk more in depth in there about their lives, and sometimes its hard to stick to general terms while still keeping track of your experiences (can get frustrating). Maybe that could be considered in the future. :)
