I'm currently on 100mg of Zoloft and for anxiety. Lately, I've been feeling this kind of fuzzy-headedness. It's strange...and very distracting. I find I'm distracted very easily...and very spacey.
I'm wondering if this is part of the derealization I was experiencing before...or if maybe it's the medication.
Also, I read a site recently that startled me a bit:

Is Zoloft really useless...and possibly dangerous? Will these feelings go away? I just want to feel normal again

I was on Zoloft for 8yrs, the light headedness is likely not from the Zoloft, but your anxiety. It really depends how long you've been on the medication for... The only reason why I got taken off it was because after 8 years of being on it it just stopped working for me.
Derelization is also an anxiety symptom and possibly not the effect of the Zoloft, i've had derealization a few times since I've been diagnosed and at first it scared me, but once I realized what it was it was easier to cope with.
I think you are just suffering from symptoms of anxiety hon.
How long have you been on Zoloft?

Just a week, on my current dosage. Only about 3 weeks total, though. Most of that time was spent on a 50 mg dosage.

It might be a bit of side effects then, especially when upping a dosage. IT also could be anxiety as well though, as I've dealt with both, upping my dosage on Zoloft I can't recall if I dealt with side effects or not, was too long ago. If it's side effects it will pass probably in another week or so.
If it's anxiety symptoms only, remind yourself that it is only that. Right now it's likely are to determine which is making you feel this way.

Opus, you may want to contact your dr. about your symptoms. I was tried out on several different meds until we found one that worked. I have been on Celexa for years now and feel NORMAL finally! My dh is also on it for anxiety and has been for years. I have had good luck with it. I know everyone is different. You might want to give the Zoloft some time, but if it's not working out perhaps ask if Celexa is right for you.

I just have to say I was on Celexa for a short time and had terrible symptoms and side effects, I had to get off of it, made me feel horrible.
All meds are different for other's some will work and some will not.
For me the med so far that worked the best is Effexor XR which i'm currently on. However if Zoloft does not work after a certain amount of time and you are still feeling crappy, keep in mind that it may not be the Zoloft but your anxiety. However, if you want to change in medication talk to your doctor to find the next treatment for you to try.

I think I just need to get my anxiety under control. The Zoloft is likely helping.
Just some information that may or may not be helpful: I'm terrified that I have schizophrenia or some other psychosis and I'm going to go mad. My psychiatrist told me that he would stake his career on me being perfectly sane...and that I wasn't ever going to go insane. It's simply not in the cards for me. So I think that's a good sign. Never-the-less, I'll sometimes think I'm having intrusive thoughts...or worry that the derealization (I'm guessing that's what it is) is a sign that I'm becomming disconnected from reality.
That was a bit off-topic
Thanks again for all your input. I'm going to remain on the Zoloft and see what happens.

it does not sound like schizophrenia, all your symptoms i've dealt with numerous times, intursive thoughts are a part of anxiety as well.
