Anger about other people's behavior

Postby MaxiMi » Sun Dec 11, 2022 12:15 pm

Hi all,
first excuse me if my topic is in the wrong place. i`m not a native english speaker. i`m male and 40 yeras old and living in Belgium. I have the following problem wich bothers me a lot: I constantly get upset about the behavior of other people and want to address them. For example, my 5 year old son and I ride bikes. He falls over on his bike in a parking lot. A driver overtakes and scolds. Luckily nothing happened. But for the last two days I've been thinking about this ruthless driver. He is the caretaker of my children's school. It often happens to me that I only feel better when I have spoken to such inconsiderate people about their behavior. But that's mostly pointless. I'm just annoyed. What could I do to be less upset?
I'm also annoyed by illegal parkers and disturbances by the neighbors. I know I can't change people. but recklessness really upsets me. I often get bogged down in the matter.

Thank you in advance for your help! Max

Hello and welcome. I've moved this from Physical Health to Living With Mental Illness. Depending on the progression, the moderator here might see fit to move it to Anger Management or something else, but for now we'll place it here.

In certain circumstances bringing attention to someone about issues you are having is totally normal - provided you are not abusive in your approach.

However, if you are consistently angered to the same degree about everything and everyone who doesn't conform to your perception of proper behavior, you might have anger issues. It is not healthy for you physically or mentally to be anxious this way more often than not. If you are aware of these feelings and you can judge how often this happens, that should tell you whether or not you need to seek help.

i agree with this. but also restrict the advice only for near n dear ones else you'll be exhausted.
also most people dont like being told what to do n get offended

once i was going to school, in the bus a group of ladies were alighting.
one lady got pushed by some lady behind her and she's like: you'll are going to church and are pushing others?

the other ladies ganged up on her.
i agree with the 1st lady but she was outnumbered.
exhausted
