Mainly when I am by myself but sometimes with family too.
Anyone else feel like this? I am not being racist promise. I am not racist at all. Just didn't know how else to describe it. Sorry.

What do you think they see?

Are they looking?
Is there any reason for them to? Like when I was a scraggly teenage boy with another scraggly teenage boy in the mall? Now I just look like a grumpy old man- nobody notices them.
Point is there's okay they're shadowing me, and there's feeling like I'm being watched. I've been in both places.

Yes, often what we feel about ourselves, even the good, we tend to think that is what others see.

Having OCD don't help, that's for sure... I can only speak for myself but there's been a time or two it got really, really close to just call me delusional...

I take a long time trying to shop sometimes because I get nervous in stores/want to see everything they have and sometimes the security person follows me around too. I have shoplifted in the past tho so maybe that's fair lol

(but this happens when I'm not shoplifting either, I guess I just shop like a strange person.)
EDIT: NOT that I personally think black people shoplift but because a lot of security guards in my area do racial profiling.

This is something that irritates me a lot too in stores. I have worked in a retail store before ( briefly) and they are trained to start assuming if someone is taking too long to shop or look at something then that means they could be trying to shoplift. In these situations they are trained to follow the person and ask questions like " can I help you with something?" I take forever to shop and am the type of person who can't make my mind up what I want in the store so unfortunately I get "targeted" by staff as a possible shoplifter based on my behavior which is really sad since I have never shoplifted anything from a store in my entire life. I tend to stay away from Best Buy because every time I go in there after about 15 minutes I am in the store looking at items in a particular isles I start getting targeted repeatedly by multiple staff members " can I help you with anything" I say "no just looking" but they don't stop stalking me in the store. So I like to avoid Best Buy and stores that do this.

A quick glance at BB seems to lean towards they really pressure their sales staff to meet sales goals, so some of that is going to be that going on. I don't really like hovering sales staff either- I'm the kind, if I want something I'll hunt you down and ask about it.
