what did you like in your day today?

I saw a friend who i havent seen in ages and we went to the pub

The paint dried evenly.

Today, (or rather yesterday, as it's 4.13am) I bought an old radiogram record player off Ebay.

It's a great big cabinet thing and it looks absolutely superb in my living room!

It's got the receipt and original manuals with it, showing it was bought in 1960. It wasn't working that well, so I took it apart as soon as I got it home, and spent a few hours cleaning and oiling components, and rewiring bits and pieces. Great fun! It's working good as new now, apart from the left speaker which wants replacing. It could also do with a new needle.

I've got loads of chores done, now going to have a quick nap, sort dinner then relax with my daughter and watch a film.

I slept through most of it/my cat, as always.

Forgot to post it the other day, but I'm still thinking about it. Our work evaluations came back, and I got the second highest score by tenths of a point, almost a tie for first.
