well if you can guess by the topic, i am a country girl to the bone. I was rasied with horse, i currently have 2 horses and I want to see what other people think are the best type of horses. if you dont recognize a horse breed on here please look it up cause all horses are beautiful.

I will start. My favorite breed of horse is the Falabella, they are also the smallest horse breed. The foal(baby) stands at aprox 2 hands (8 inches) and when they are fully grown they stand at max 8 hands(32 inches)

I've always had a thing for horses with heavy builds and feathering; Friesians, Clydesdales, Gypsy Vanners, ect. They just look so sweet and magical.

I liked Icelandics a lot when I was younger which are sort of similar to the Falabella, well, similar in the way that they're both small. lol

Now adays I'm warming up to Mustangs and the like. Probably due to too many westerns.

All thoughts are prey to some beast

I love horses. My sister and I had one when we were younger. He was a dark bay colored thoroughbred. I think he was close to 16 hands. He was so tall and graceful.

My favorite though is probably miniature horses. They're just so tiny and cute.

I have worked with MANY breeds. Clyde's were great. You would think with that size they would be lazy or never wild. NOT TRUE. I used to work in a historical park that had 11 full blooded Boyz. On the off season they would get some pasture time. I would call them, and all 11 would come ripping across the meadow. You could feel them on the ground from the pounding of their hooves before you could even see them.
I rode a Half Clyde/Thoroughbred side saddle in the town all summer. Great fun.
We drove the Clyde's in parades too. Let me tell you six Clyde's with you driving with tree lines in each hand, HURTS after a bit!!!
I love Arabs too....Uggg If you love horses, you love them all!

My favorite horse breed is the Akhal Teke. I had a chance to see a couple of them and I loved the metallic sheen of their coat. I was told that they are a very ancient breed. The three I saw were beautiful animals. Apparently there's a move to encourage breeding them here in Canada.

btw - for some reason horses don't seem to like me. One of these three, pushed his head against my chest and pinned me to the barn wall. This has happened to me with two other horses from my past. Nothing really agressive just assertive.
Sleep is my drug….my bed is my dealer and my alarm clock is the police.

MDD, SAD, AvPD, BPD - currently untreated
