MM, the theme of fairytales has long played a part in psychology (the struggles against evil a metaphore for our own inner stuggles).
I suggest you read up more on it.

Sleeping Beauty is my favourite. It's theme is very much about overcoming obstacles in confronting and defeating evil.
I was taken to see Alice in Wonderland as a toddler and apparently I had to be carried out of the cinema because I was screaming hysterically. My young perceptivelittle brain had seen through the shiney Disney facade, and seen the true nightmarish trip that it was.
