Dreams

Oh gosh I had a weird one last night..Well usually mine are weird. The one I'm going to tell you about does have content about suicide, so if you're too sensitive to that :S don't read on.

Anyway, I (I say I,but usually the main paerson is a mix of me and someone else and I can't tell if it is me or not) met some Ethiopian kid playing basketball in the high school (I'm out of high school so I don't want to dream about it dang it!) and tehn afterwards we had this discussion with two other Ethiopian kids about how people were committing mass suicides and announcing it on fb before they did it ..And how they were expecting another mass suicide to occur soon according to the news.

So we were talking about this and I screamed "If people want to kill themselves let them!!! I don't care!!" and then I ran out crying.

I had a few other ones. But I can't remember them. I know they both had to do with mental illness. That was my theme last night. The night before that everything was adventure...like Indiana Jones style. That was cool.

Dreams are interesting. When I used to get high, i would nod off in this state between dream and reality... I think the term is "lucid dream".

I've never done that before, but I've only smoked pot and got drunk...I acutally don't like doing either. Makes my head feel all funny and away from myself.

Yes I quite agree... while experiencing a different state of consciousness in the moment may seem like fun, can only be likened to shooting oneself in the foot.

My dream last night was about an old friend whom seems to have disappeared as of late. I've known this man since I was about 11. Anyway the details are slowly fading and seem uninteresting now that I've forgotten.

What about you Joan? Not sure what timezone you are in, but did you have a vivid one again last night?

Dreams are funny things. Sometimes when I dream something it makes total sense as to why I dreamed it. Then at other times none at all.

Kind of like last night when I ended up having a dream about Christopher Reeve right out of the blue. I have no idea why! True, he's always been one of my best liked actors. But I haven't watched one of his films/had any thoughts in relation to him for a long time. Would have made much more sense if I'd dreamed of Sean Bean as was watching an episode of Sharpe before I went to sleep last night. But no. It was this guy, with no apparent reason for doing so, and it was a really vivid one of him talking to me (though can't remember what it was he was saying) while we were in some kitchen I didn't recognise. It made absolutely no sense lol!

Sometimes they don't make sense. Sometimes they do. I usually end up having really odd ones or ones to do wtih death or identity.

I had one where that guy from Donny Darko, that actor..but he wasn't an actor in my dream..and he looked like he did in his latest movie..anyway he was my brother and he was talking about how he had to help treat his wife for some disease caused by gum chewing. We kept talking about diseases and I said something about 'I'm only going to live to 30 and then it won't be long until I die after that.'

I swear I don't think I'm too depressing of a person..but my dreams usually end up having some depressing element to them.
