I often wonder, would someone who seems so stress free get along with someone like myself who always is a bag of nerves?
As the wife of (bipolar/borderline personality disorder/ocd) man I can say yes that happens. There is a cosmic scale where balance is happening-somehow. Unfortunately the happy go lucky girl is also PTSD and other. I am skipping to my own beat- I break for butterflies and stop for cloud crossings and take photos all day of smiles and happy face. Those who know me know I suffer and my smiles come hard-and every smile they see is a blessing. Living with a mentally ill person is not an easy task for a happy person striving to feel loved and protected. He is mean, unable to express the good stuff and always focused on trigger tv. I mean how can a girl stay happy while watching 10 thousand motor cycle crashes and planes explode and people die and ..none of it is happy. It is like tragedy tvland. As a person easily triggered by violence and rape scenes I have no choice in the matters of what appears on the screen. It makes it hard to feel safe, secure, loved or anything to smile about.
Ya skippy happy go lucky girls fall for messed up guys every single day. But when your blinders come off and you see she is probably just as unhappy as she is happy.
Balance happens somehow. I found my first love and father of my son 18 years later and married his crazy ass even though I left him while pregnant because of his suicide attempts while I was preg- 4 times was my limit. I could not bare any more stress or alcohol. I NEVER STOPPED LOVING HIM. and as much as he hurts me-and he does-I will always love him.
we are all messed up-no one is perfect
be open to it ; )
