For the true to life graphic reality of war you cannot go past Saving Private Ryan, the D-Day landing was really that horrific...

I'd recommend Gallipoli and Platoon.
No diagnosis, lots of opinions, and a bunch of issues that I haven't quite figured out.

Platypus, what I was referring to with Saving Private Ryan was the fact that they asked veterans about the beach landing before they even released the movie they showed a bunch of D-Day veterans the footage and they said it was like being back there... some cried and broke down and many relived the whole experience thru the start of that movie. Some veterans said they hadn't seen anything come close to portraying the landings until that movie was made.

I don't really like action movies.

Inception and The Matrix aren't bad in my opinion. I tend to like either childish movies or dramatic ? ones.

My favorite movies are....
Curious George (yes. I swear. This move.) ,
Polar Express (the ending gets me every time right in the heart XD)
The Lost Boys (oh those vampires on motorbikes <3)
Labrynth (oh David Bowie how you make me happy)
The Color Purple (the bookis just as good. Darn...;-;)
The Green Mile (hahah purple now green xD. The book is really good too)
Fried Green Tomatoes (this book is pretty darn good too)
Girl, Interrupted (I love this book too)
Scream (I used to love horror movies as a kid and this was top dog. I watched it 4 times in a row once)
Beauty and the Beast (;W; nostalgia. I also like Lion King.)
Peter Pan live action version (It added things to the book and then took good parts from it too. Awesome job :). I like both the movie and the book. The book has a more ..well Iguess sad? sort of ending to it that gets to me everytime, though both do)

My likes don't seem to have too much of a common thread..But yeah, these are my favorties! xD I also like Citizen Kane and La Belle et Le Bete, but those are very classic and I wouldn't watch them just any day..so I'll just consider them likes.
