I have to post the links back to my photos, and I can't figure out how to make my photos or text into links. I miss HTML.

Here are some pics of my hikes in this area over the summer. My camera had a terrible fate after the picture of Thunderbird falls was taken... My camera fell in the water and died while I was climbing the side of the falls. 2 weeks later my laptop commited suicide by jumping off my bed, I guess he took the death of the camera a lil hard and couldn't live without it :[

Hammer , those images on page 3 and 4 are really beautiful, especially the first image on page 4. It just makes me want to jump straight in (provided the day is hot, of course).

NGofCS, where exactly do you live? Those pictures are fairly inspiring.

Yea I jumped in, my friends thought I was just really into the hike and wanted to run down the creek but I was recovering my camera for the memory card :p also the water is cold, it comes from snow melting in the mountains.

The closer you are to the trailhead the more people you will see. the 1st page is me hiking up the Skyline trail. It takes about a half hour to reach the ridge seen in the first picture but once you are there you can see a lot of mountains that you cant see from the road. The one I went up took another 2 and a half hours to reach the peak. People rarely go out there, they stop at the first ridge and from where I was they were just tiny dots :p People you meet on the trails are very nice though. The 2nd page was Falls creek, I met an old couple and they stopped to eat and asked if I wanted any food. I love the people on the trails, they are usually couples, families taking the kids out, out with their dogs, or out to take pictures. You never see people in a bad mood out on a hike. :]

Sorry, This time I disagree with you. The best pic is the first one on line 4, page 1. :P

haha why would I get mad at you for saying your fav pic? People have their differences. My fav is from a mountain at the top of eagle river. It was hella exhausting but the view was worth it. I also like Thunderbird Falls. I wanted to climb up the falls right then but the people I was with aren't what you call thrill seekers and didn't want to follow so I went back out that evening and did it alone but I didn't have a camera anymore, I just chilled on a rock a few hundred feet above the falls just taking in the sound of rushing water below me. :]

You won´t believe me but I also chosen the one on the top of eagle. In Venezuela (In Los Andes), there are also a peak called The eagle(El águila). When I was there I couldn´t breath or move properly. Five minutes later, I was smoking a cigarrette.
You´re right! When you are hiking, of walking on a route (This is what I do- walk-) the people are really cool. Nature makes us better people.
I have some pics of waterfalls but I haven´t got in this computer so I´ll stick them soon.

Colorado. Specifically, Colorado Springs. Even here in the US, people assume there's only one city in the entire state, Denver.

I need to go on more hikes. I don't go hiking like I used to. I don't even have a good excuse. There's a good hiking park right behind my house.
