Music for relaxation

Postby twistermind » Sun Aug 09, 2009 1:26 pm

Hi! I didn´t know where place this thread and I consider it would be a good idea to put it here, for all the members in this forum.

I adore this CD of Nature sounds and I use it while I´m making some relaxation exercises:

It is called: Stream of dreams (Gibson´s Solitudes)

I stick here a track from you-tube, but if you can get the whole CD, the better.

That is nice. In school here, we sometimes played music like that during religion class. Sometimes, it was hard not to laugh though (we were immature children - all boys school). Enya is my peaceful/calming/soothing musician. Her songs are absolutely beautiful.

I find trancey electronic music with one of the computerized female voices always calms and relaxes me.

Yes, the music idiotic "E-tards" rave to is the music that calms me :)

Electronic music, Eric? I can´t understand how this can be relaxing.

I love rock and heavy music but not for relaxation. This is sure.

That would be Beethoven's Fur Elise? This is also soothing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0NoHN1TU5I

I think that Electronic music is almost the ultimate contrast to the stuff that twistermind is talking about. The best song that ever canme out of that whole arly electronic era was Phil Oakley & Giorgio Morodor's Together in Electric Dreams (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9foZ7KVSng)

right now i'm listening to the mamas and the papas. that mama cass has a really nice voice for those songs. i remember in the early 80's there was the b52's with kate pierceson and cindy wilson. they sounded great together. kate pierceson sounds better than cindy though.

i would love to hear those 2 sing mamas and papas songs or a song like my beautiful balloon by the 5th dimension.

ricky wilson had a nice voice like papa denny but not as strong as papa denny's voice.

Now there are some great bands that you've mentioned. Fifth Dimension also sing Age Of Aquarius, of course, and the Mamas & the Papas sing Monday, Monday and California Dreamin'.
