My first Mars picture

I just received my first picture from Mars a few minutes ago. For a few months, I've been suggesting pictures for NASA to take with their Mars Global Surveyor spacecraft that is orbiting Mars. Today, a few minutes ago, I saw the first picture they took. I feel like a mother who saw her newborn for the first time. It's a beautiful thing. I'm all excited. I'm exploring Mars. I'm not locked away in a psych ward today, and I'm going after my dreams. It would be nice to walk on Mars, but today no one is doing that.

This address will display a long table. My picture is the 12th on the list. It is called R22-01351p.gif I calculate that the smallest craters visible would be big enough to put a house in.

I'm all excited. NASA just released the Mars pictures for this month. My pictures totaled 11 out of 21. A few are really neat. It's exciting exploring Mars. I guess I deal with Mars better than I do with life on earth. But we all need some fun.

My research is going along better than I ever imagined. This week I received 24 pictures from the red planet. Some are great. I've even had daydreams of writing a book on the subject. My research may not be as good as the professionals, but it would be a story of a person chasing a wild dream. Many people become experts on the Civil War or on motorcycles, or music, or guns--I like to explore other worlds.
