Good childhood memories

Postby twistermind » Mon Jun 01, 2009 8:30 pm

It´s well known that infance or childhood is always, or at least nearly always, a good period in each human being; mainly, because when you are a little child you have a natural tendency to see your surrounding from a possitive point of view. I´m talking in general, of course, I´m not considering all that poor little children that are abondened in the street in Brazil or the ones who have to work in the mine instead of going to school.
The question is what good childhood memories have you got?

i have best memories of my both grannies, God bless them, they used to look after me, and were quite divine figures in my life.

what else.. i was a very curious child, i joined a dance group aged 8 ( folklore dancing) and also did a lot of painting and drawing at that stage. i often argued with my brother and i feel my mum was always on his side ( sorry, this is evoked by the nightmare's posts, i had had it stored deep in the memory before reading nightmare's posts), and my brother enjoyed doing nasty things indeed..( no, not physical abuse, just being nasty and thinking up stuff to play around with me, basically mistreating his younger sibling) ( he is 5 yrs older than me) . luckily, i was smart enough to always outwit him to my advantage. When we grew up to our teen age, we stopped arguing that much, I guess it was a process of growing up. He has been married with two kids for over 10 years now, and is quite distant now, that is he basically doesn't have contact with his own family ( me and my parents) without it being fully controlled by his wife. He is like a familiar stranger now.

I had a lot of friends, lots of playing and that kind of stuff.. school, learning.. we used to go around and steal other people's fruits and vegetables out in the country, when one guy once chased us with a gun hahahahaha

but still i liked best my grannies and them telling us stories in the evening from their own childhood, it's priceless.

I used to have lots of friends at school and in my barrer. My parents had a café, so after doing the homework, my brother ans I used to play with my friend and his friends all the evening. Because our friend parents´were at the café. My brother is only 11months younger than me. So we were always playing together, but I can´t play dolls with him because he thought this wasn´t appropiate for a boy, so I have to play his games (soldiers, cowboys and things like that).
The same like you, TWO-ROADS, my parents were always on my brother´s part.
We used to do tricks on people such as stick a coin on the floor, throwing balloons with water from my grandma´s balcony.
I also loved to be with my grandmas and my grandpa. I remember sung many songs to my grandma in the balcony up to 12:30pm and when she told me things about her life.

Highlights include: Saturday morning cartoons, getting my first nintendo, my first SNES, my sega genesis, a remote controlled truck.
I had friends and I enjoyed that for the most part. I also enjoyed traveling.
Nothing appropriate comes to mind.
