Did you know that the song is actually about Billie-Jo's father? The video would have you believe that it's about the Afganistan war and 9/11 ('Twin Towers'), but it's definately not. The producers only used that video because they knew that it would make the record sell better.

That said, the song is fantastic. that entire album, in fact, is like no other album by Green Day. It's like they spent an entire millenium planning it, because each song has powerful meanings. Jesus of Suburbia is 9 or 10 minutes long on the album, but it's good throughout, which is rare for a long song in my opinion.

I'm 19 in literal years, but in many ways I am younger than that. I still sleep with a plushie, for instance...

I 'faked' a girl's age recently because she went to the US and was only 21 years old (and therefore couldn't order alcohol). So, yeh, I helped her out a bit... ...kind of devious.

Awww, here is a poem.. it's April here, not September ( everything is blooming and the life is in the full blast, and the poet is depressed, so he views it as " cruelty" ).

Poem :

T.S. Eliot (1888–1965). The Waste Land. 1922.

The Waste Land

I. THE BURIAL OF THE DEAD

APRIL is the cruellest month, breeding
Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing
Memory and desire, stirring
Dull roots with spring rain.
Winter kept us warm, covering 5
Earth in forgetful snow, feeding
A little life with dried tubers.
Summer surprised us, coming over the Starnbergersee
With a shower of rain; we stopped in the colonnade,
And went on in sunlight, into the Hofgarten, 10
And drank coffee, and talked for an hour.
Bin gar keine Russin, stamm' aus Litauen, echt deutsch.
And when we were children, staying at the archduke's,
My cousin's, he took me out on a sled,
And I was frightened. He said, Marie, 15
Marie, hold on tight. And down we went.
In the mountains, there you feel free.
I read, much of the night, and go south in the winter.
